Rowan Cafun

Professor in the Business department at Quincy University, Quincy, IL

Good instructor. Very clear on his expectations. If you go to class, and do your assigned work, you will get a good grade. Dont show up for class, you will miss valuable info on his tests, and you will probably fail.

Richard O'Hara

Professor in the Business department at Quincy University, Quincy, IL

This is a night class, which means long lectures and attendance is crucial. Tests are essay questions only. Those and a 20-30 min group presentation is pretty much your whole grade. A great class for any type of business major.

Students Talks About This University

Academics: Home Away from Home – Came to quincy for its rich heritage, and a Aviation Program far from many. Get one on one time with instructers time, which is great. quincy is a amazing secret.

Academics: My Professors Were Awesome! I loved all of my professors and my advisor was with me every step of the way!

Academics: Majoring in sciences, chemistry and biology in my case, takes a lot of effort. However, Quincy University provides many opportunities for outside help. Tutoring, study sessions, and review sessions are a courtesy provided for us students.

Campus Quality: Love the Fitness Center – I like to go running and I want to build my upper body stregth. The fitness center has a weight room and several treadmills for public use. The best part is students are allowed free admission to the facilities with a student id.

Campus Quality: We have two sororities, one fraternity, with several academic and honorary fraternities as well. We have tons of sports and clubs. There is almost always something going on. Meetings are held every night. Events are happening every weekend. We also have a great policy of creating your own clubs and such. We just had a few people start a Creativity Club and a Paint Ball Club. If we don't already have it, all you have to do is get a group of people who want to do it and sign them up!

Campus Quality: Like Home – The facilities at Quincy University are very nice. There is a university center that is small but convenient for students to hang out at. The fitness center provides a great environment for students to work out. There was a new dorm built this past year, and older dorms have been renovated in recent years as well. The students and faculty are very friendly making the campus an enjoyable place to hang out.

Diversity: Very Accepting of Different Views – Even though it is a Catholic university, the faculty is accepting of all religions and political views. No discrimination.

Diversity: Very diverse people which is great because those from a simple background are able to meet new people and share common ideas.

Diversity: At QU there are mainly 2 different races and a couple students of different races. It doesn't matter their race everyone gets accepted by other students. I rarely see students not getting accepted by a group of other students.

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls at Quincy University have pretty great styles. It's nice to see all the different styles mixed in together. It gives everyone there own unique personality.

Guys & Girls: I hang out with the athletes as I am a member of the volleyball team. All sports teams are very supportive of each other regardless of sport and gender. Dress is casual and hanging out at the Hawks Nest is fun! There is a wide variety of activities to participate in if you have the time to...between laundry, studying and going to class that is!

Guys & Girls: One thing i can say is that our university is built mainly on their sports. Almost everyone is an athlete whether it be tennis, golf or dance team, Everyone is involved. All the boys are football players and all the athletic girls are soccer players. Guarantee whomever you meet is an athlete.
